Directed by Robert Lepage, in Cards 1: Spades, several works from the Air Series serve as an aerial leitmotif in three different scenes of the play. Wurtzel's work appears as a seven meter tall fog tornado in the middle of the stage, Pas de Duex is an intermezzo, and a variation on that piece appears in a hotel room menage a trios with the devil which is so hot, the bed sheets literally fly off of the bed, and dance in the air above.
